against a starting rookie qb and rb:
Weeden/Richardson, Griffin III/Morris and Foles/Brown
Granted we haven't faced the Skins in the rematch yet, but wouldn't that be 4 weeks? 5 if you chime in we knocked Vick out and Foles came in.
Not to mention second-year guys in Dalton and Newton.
They all feasted on the Cowboys check their numbers against our defense.
Think he means 3 weeks in a row
The Cowboys played pretty well against Newton so hopefully their play against second year guys continues to be better than it has been against rookies.
I really thinks that points to two things:
1) the lack of depth of quality starting qb's in the league(meaning teams were willing to start rookies vs go with experienced veterans)
2) RB's shelf lives are getting shorter and shorter, so you want to get the most out of the rookie contract that you can.
IMO it points to one other, that NFL teams are shifting away from not starting rookies to where they will. I think they are finally feeling the urgency to get these kids ready.
Is this strictly a consecutive thing or total?
Gotta be consecutive.
Cincy has played the Browns two times and the Redskins.
Giants have played Washington twice and Cleveland.
Still pretty rare though. 3 straight weeks.
