    Name: Dawan Landry
    Position: Strong Safety
    College: Georgia Tech
    Height/Weight: 6-0, 220
    Age: 28
    NFL Experience: 5 seasons

Availability: Landry is currently a restricted free agent. He would be eligible for unrestricted if the former uncapped rules governing the NFL through 2010 were to be reinstated. Baltimore has not announced a tender offer for Landry's services, however, and though they have expressed an interest in re-signing him, the team has a history of letting Ed Reed's safety cohorts walk, as they did with Will Demps in 2006 and Jim Leonhard in 2009.

What He Brings: More of an in-the-box safety, Landry is an accomplished run-stopper, with 200 tackles over the past two seasons. He had four interceptions in 2009, though none last year. He did have a sack in 2010, the fifth of his career. A fifth-round pick in 2006, Landry has a great deal of experience, first starting 14 games as a rookie, then all throughout his second season. He missed all but two games in 2008 after suffering a spinal concussion, but returned to start each game the past two seasons...

I'm not sure of his current health issues, but if you want a physical in-the-box safety, a guy like Dawan Landry or Abram Elam ain't a bad idea.
