    IRVING, Texas - Jason Garrett encouraged his players to enjoy their 33-20 victory over the New York Giants - their first since late September - for 24 hours.

    The Cowboys' interim head coach probably didn't fully savor Sunday's win - his first as a head coach at any level - for 24 minutes.

    Garrett admitted he mentally wandered ahead a bit as he exited New Meadowlands Stadium. Maybe not specifically toward the Detroit Lions, but at least toward Monday's film work and meetings.
    "It's hard not to get your mind going on the next one," he said. "You're challenged so much in this league. Detroit is going to be a great challenge for us on Sunday afternoon."
