I think bringing in vet depth on the D-line makes a lot of sense, especially if they are not getting huge dollars. We can go d-line in the 1st and 2nd rounds of the draft and odds are those guys are going to take some time to become highly effective and getting use to playing 4 quarters in the NFL at a NFL pace.

And you honestly think Mincey would not be around? I think you really do not understand this player was available for anyone to claim after his release from Jacksonville and they did not. He went to a successful team and parlayed bit role success into a free agent contract.

The whole point is, we should not be in the position where we have to do more to sign a player.

The selling point of the Ware cut was clear room and start anew. This is the beginning? Seriously?

They must really like this guy.

They wanted him a few years ago as well.

Exactly. Jerry made a good depth signing and he still doesn't get credit.

Jerry saw some things in this player that others overlooked. Good for him. Sooner or later, he will get the credit he deserves.

If his character issues checked out, then it's not a bad depth signing. Problem is, if he's not behind anyone on the depth chart, then he's not depth.

I'm not opposed to cutting Ware to get the salary cap under control, but I don't see why you cut Ware until you have a contingency plan lined up.

Please half of this board said something about not giving any credit until Jerry releases Miles and Ware. Guess what? They just moved on to the next excuse to not give him some credit.

But why didn't they want him when they could have had him last year, with a desperate need?

ware and miles were released because they had to be, not because jerry wanted it that way

Since when is doing the financial prudent thing to praise worthy? It should be a standard.

You are absolutely right. But that's not what people think. They just want to complain no matter what the move is. Jerry could fire himself and hire a GM and there will be some whining about that.
