(Editor's Note: Leading into the upcoming NFL Draft, held April 26-28, DallasCowboys.com will take a closer look at the prospects, including some that could be potential fits with the Cowboys. Today's featured player is LSU defensive lineman Michael Brockers.)
    Name: Michael Brockers
    Position: Defensive End / Tackle
    College: LSU
    Height/Weight: 6-6 / 205
    Age: 21 (born Nov. 21, 1990)

Strengths: Any time the word "freak" is used to describe an NFL player, it's a good thing, especially for a player weighing over 300 pounds. Brockers is said to have freakish qualities with his ability to get up the field and be disruptive for a man his size. Playing at LSU, he certainly faced top-notch competition on a weekly basis.

Weaknesses: While he had a dominating sophomore season, Brockers is still only three seasons removed from his high school, and has only played two years. He redshirted as a freshman in 2009 before playing the last two years for the Tigers. With that, his instincts aren't there just yet. Because he's so big and powerful, the book on Brockers is that he relies on those attributes often. In the NFL, sometimes that can get you in trouble if your technique isn't equally sound.

I haven't read enough on the prospects yet to have a personal fav, but I'd be fine with Brockers in round 1. I definitely feel better about DL or OL at 14 than OLB or any other position.

Nick fixed it, listed at 305 now, instead of 205. :)

He could turn out to be really good but I just don't like him right now.

Hoping the Panthers take him at 9.

What exactly makes him a freak? He tested really poorly, a freak shouldn't test poorly. Now everything about Poe screams freak.

I have a feeling that if he is available at that pick, he'll be a Cowboy. Not sure how I feel about that though. I love his upside, but I am scared of his downside.
