I agree with the first part but Sims was never a freaky athlete, just faulty.
Actually, I'm not overjoyed with any of our LB's right now even Lee.
He is just to slight of body frame to play the middle and his bone structure won't
take the punishment. He's an accident waiting to happen.

Really? Because I cringed. I think it's a reference to Durant's cost and Jerry maybe not being excited to pick that up going into the season, but it sounds an awful lot like an owner getting too involved in a roster too early in the process.

Laughing is better than crying. After 20 years of mediocrity, I'm all out of tears.

I don't know how to feel about our linebacking core. If they to their potential.....we coudl have a very good linebacking group with us. Lee, Carter and Durant should be a very formidable group with solid backups and youth. And I actually am not worried about Durant. Its the other two who I feel have Pro Bowl talent but can't seem to get there whether its due to injuries or simply being lost in the scheme.

    Agreed.

Think of the "car wreck" out on the field with Sims, Carter and a rookie... Ugly.

Absolutely....as soon as you let me know where you are. There is a backlog and I'll have to charge your credit card ahead of time. :)

Just make sure you don't get em confused. Going to suck if we end up getting rain for every game instead.

He's perceived to be a reach by the media. Really to know if he's a reach we would need to know where the rest of the teams had him and also acknowledge that because of differing schemes not all the teams are going to like the same players. This goes back to last year with Travis Frederick. The media thought he was a reach but the Cowboys believed he would have been taken early in the 2nd round and he proved to be worth the pick.

I agree. The point i was trying to make was that way too many people get hung up on the concept of whether someone was a reach or whether they were a great value. The point of the draft is to build your gameday roster. Drafting well should mean you get a good roster, but I would argue that the draft has become very overrated at this point.

I wouldn't say the draft is overrated but I understand what you're saying and I think we agree. I do think all the hype about what round, value points and value where picked, et al is hyped too much. Grades now are fun to discuss as long as not taken too seriously.

I agree the point of the draft is to build your roster as much as possible. The draft is where you have to get your low cost players and find your roster players and then starters.

Neck and hamstring. I watched him injure the hip/hamstring versus Green Bay several times and am a firm believer that him having to dodge around guards constantly to get to ball carriers is a large part of his problem. He is relentless and will walk through walls if he feel he needs to. We need to get him some help.

I could not agree more. Most of his injuries are self-inflicted due to what you've stated.
