How can anyone make this a negative ? It's an awesome gesture. He's a good kid.
ESPN just put the story on their site, sooooooo two faced.
Yeah, but he didn't buy them GAMES! Also, I heard he went out in the parking lot and gave a homeless guy a ps4 but forgot to buy him a house, TV and pay his electric bill so he could play it. What an ***.
I'm surprised there aren't people complaining and wondering what he was doing out after midnight...
I tend to agree. His incredible generosity is somewhat misguided. How about donating food, clothing or books to truly needy people, people who want to be productive human beings? Instead of buying machines that promote laziness and slackitude?
Um, cars are used to get from point A to point B and can be incredibly important for things like commuting to and from work, the grocery store, etc. In other words, a gift that can really make a difference. What in God's name does a Playstation do? Does it help you find a job? Does it help you put food on the table? Does it keep you warm?
I think you guys are making a bigger deal of it than it really is. He is not feeding starving kids in India. It’s kindof a waste of money towards people who need to be the first on the block with the newest gadget. It’s like people who buy you drinks at bars. It’s a giving thing to do. Is it the greatest use of resources? Probably not.
If anybody knows what it's like to grow up in an underprivileged family, or rather, with no family at all, with nothing for the holidays let alone knowing where your next meal will come from, it's Desmond Bryant.
He's essentially Michael Oher without the benefits of the Tuohy family.
Shame on you, naysayers.
Are you serious? LOL. what a joke.
I laughed out loud.
Theres a bunch of Eagles fans around here. They boo Santa Claus. They proably have batteries in their pockets ready to fly at any moment.
I think you downers are the ones making a bigger deal of it than what it really is. It's his money he can spend it how he wants to.

A big X for Dez
Like that Lee Jersey. Think he/she could play next game and put a real " bite" on the opposing team.
Props to Dez for helping others out.
Eh, what defines altruism these days is a moving target, and lots of people who have the means to make someone else happy when they don't have to do so, and lots of people don't. The pragmatist in a time when the gap between rich and poor is growing exponentially would say kudos to Bryant for making an effort regardless of how impactful it was or wasn't.

Fans actually snowballed Santa ........
Toni Collins, yum.
Dez has quickly become my favorite player. Coming from what he came from and becoming the man he is.. just makes me so proud. I was basically an orphan at 15 and it helped me learn what not to be. I believe Dez is going to be everything he didn't have growing up.
