Jason Garrett, who was cornered by Calvin "Lucky" Watkins and another reporter at the Senior Bowl workouts today, didn't have much to say about T.O.

"I certainly have a lot of respect for him as a player," Garrett said. "And we'll just leave it at that."

Garrett politely ended the interview at this point, leaving a ton of room to read between the lines. Garrett, who danced around a question about potential communication breakdowns with Tony Romo late in the season, certainly didn't say anything to shoot down the belief that he'd rather not have T.O. around Valley Ranch next season.

What does Jerry think? Calvin hopes to find out today, when Jerry is expected to arrive in Mobile.

    Jason Garrett speaks

Cowboys assistant head coach/offensive coordinator spoke to the media at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. on Monday afternoon.

Garrett said he is fully focused on the Cowboys now after three interviews for head coaching positions this offseason.

Garrett didn't want to get into details of the second interview with St. Louis. However, he did say that the rumors about him pricing himself out of the job were not the case. "That's not the case at all. It was a really good experience to talk to the Rams," Garrett said.

When asked about his relationship with Terrell Owens, Garrett simply said "I have a lot of respect for him, certainly as a player. And we'll just leave it at that."

I guess he doesn't respect him as a person though.

    Brilliant.

Why couldn't you have just said nothing. It would have been ten times better.

How can Garrett and Crayton not understand this?

He's awful mouthy for someone who hasn't accomplished anything.

It seems to be a chronic issue with this team. Even if you're unhappy, just lie and deal with it internally. I'm tired of everything be aired to the press.

TO is probably a HOF receiver. I'd say he's accomplished something.

TO is a future HOFer. Garrett will be lucky if he has a job in the NFL in 5 years.

What more should Garrett have to say? He respects TO as a player, that is what TO is. Is TO so fragile that more has to be said?

Sounds like a lot of love there...

And I can't be the only one who chuckles at the irony. Remember, this is TO who doesn't respect anyone who doesn't come at him like a man, according to Patrick Crayton.

Good thing that Jason Garrett respects him ;)

Too much drama and baggage, ladies and gentlemen. Wish Mr. Owens well and send him on his way.

    Oh ok

Well make sure to tell that to the other Hall of Famers he'll be accompanying when he retires

    :laugh2:

So you compare him to the best player in baseball as evidence of him not being accomplished. Nice job.

    No, but posters here are.

Every little word uttered or not uttered leads to rampant speculation.

And Garrett's 'individual stats' when he didn't have Sparano?

    Yeah, not so good...

oh so now you're diverting from what you said earlier about T.O. not having accomplished anything

do teams go into the Hall of Fame or do individual players who have amassed individual stats?

    hmm...
