Here’s what stood out from Day 12 of Cowboys’ training camp practices Wednesday in Oxnard, Calif.:
    • Some military men were in the Cowboys’ pre-practice team huddle before the morning walkthrough.
    • Center David Arkin had a high shotgun snap over QB Tony Romo’s head during the walkthrough.
    • OL coach Bill Callahan spent a lot of extra time working one-on-one with undrafted OG Ronald Leary after the walkthrough.
    • WR Dwayne Harris couldn’t field a punt near his ankles during a punt drill early in the afternoon practice. Later, he came back with a nice catch near the sideline in team drills.
    • During two WRs vs. two DBs drill, the wide receivers caught 12 passes and the defensive backs forced incompletions on 10 passes. CB Akwasi Owusu-Ansah bad a pass breakup and intercepted a pass. WR Andre Holmes couldn’t pull in a deep pass in the end zone that sailed over his shoulders and glanced off his fingertips against CB Teddy Williams. CB Morris Claiborne just missed intercepting a pass in front of WR Cole Beasley. CB Mario Butler intercepted a pass deep down the left sideline that was intended for WR Raymond Radway to end the drill.
