    NBC’s Michaels and Collinsworth were much more compassionate throughout the New Orleans Saints’ 49-17 win, although Collinsworth did bring up the “e” word in discussing the Cowboys offense midway through the third quarter. But he used a modifier. “This has been a bit embarrassing,” he said.

    A bit? Collinsworth must be mellowing.

    Seems they were willing to forgive the defense due to the injury epidemic that may have hit hardest when Sean Lee hurt his hamstring in the first half and was forced to exit early.

    Collinsworth equated Lee’s loss for the defense to what a Romo injury would mean to the offense.

    “In many ways this Cowboys defense is unrecognizable,” Collinsworth said as the third quarter wound down.
