ARLINGTON – As Jason Garrett walked out of the locker room Thursday night, he called out to Jason Witten, extending his right hand. It was a prideful handshake after the Cowboys lost to New Orleans, 30-27, on Thursday.

In the locker room before that, Bryan McCann walked over to David Buehler and patted the kicker on the back, offering a little consolation for the missed 59-yard field goal try that would have tied Thursday’s score with 25 seconds to play.

As Gerald Sensabaugh came out of the athletic trainers’ room, he noticed Miles Austin’s swollen right forearm and asked if the wide receiver was OK. In the hallway outside the locker room, Witten offered words of encouragement to Roy Williams after Williams’ fumble gave New Orleans a chance for the go-ahead drive.
