Yeah last years run defense scheme was spectacular.

Gonna miss watching every redskin run 100+ yards each in one game

Sure. But you need to have a system that can work -- even under less than favorable conditions.

Look at the 49ers. Vic Fangio was a guy we interviewed before we hired Ryan. He had the same short off-season in 2011 and ended up with the 2nd fewest points allowed. So it isn't impossible to work in that short time frame. It does require that you boil stuff down and maybe adapt your approach though.

Injuries certainly were an issue last year. However, that was made worse by having a complicated system. Ryan's complicated approach made it impossible for new defenders to completely understand what was going on.

Ryan may be a good coach but what he does only works when you've got a best case scenario going.

Hard to see where Ryan's defense was a success. I didn't like Ware always dropping into coverage, only to see a RB take a swing pass underneath.

He WAS regarded as one of the best. 10 years ago. Things weren't at all pretty in his two most recent college jobs.

You see wide open guys across the NFL. Completion percentages are typically above 60%.

Look: Ryan was hamstrung in Dallas. By Jerry's meddling and by massive injuries up and down the defensive roster. Just watch what happens in New Orleans the next few seasons.

Kiffin has won a SB. Ryan hasn't ever had a winning season. There goes your opinion....

Do I need to give you a list of coaches and players who won super bowls and who couldn't even get a job a year or two later? That proves NOTHING.

It was a team sport last time I checked.

    Insert coin. Try again.
