Does Oscan start next year because of his contract?

I believe his contract will play a determining role in whether we go CB or OL first round. Jenkins and Sensabaugh are going to start, that leaves holes at FS (Sensy goes back to ss) and CB. Part of me wants to draft CB first round because secondary is the most obvious hole, but a bigger part of me would rather take a CB second round and a OG first. I'm just so sick of seeing tony run for his life and our talented rb's getting hit half a second after they get the ball. I believe our OL next year will be Tyron, FA/Draft guard, Kowalski, Fa/Draft guard, and Free. So I ask, will Oscan start next year, or remain the 3rd db? He isnt going anywhere and niether is Sensy with their new contracts.

Wasn't a huge contract. Sign Asante and draft CB in 2nd, 3rd or 4th

I'd rather cut him and save $5.3 million of cap room.

What he does that Alan ball can't? Both got lit up as soon as they are on the filed.
I thought it was smart to resign him and Free and boy, was I wrong.

He's signed and not going anywhere. Question is how to use him effectively. Is it at CB? He's decent. With a good passrush, he maybe better than you think.

What if he plays FS? He's a willing tackler and good blitzer....tell me why not?

And that's a major problem with this team. We could cut Scandrick, save $5.3 million of cap room and try to use that money to find an actual quality starter. Instead, we'll almost certainly pay Scandrick $7.1 million next season and hope that he's not terrible.

He's been overrated since the day he was drafted. We were led to believe that he was this incredible steal, the June Jones quote of Scandrick was the best CB his team played against, the training camp HOF performances...

Jerry bought into it and is trying to convince himself that Scandrick will live up to that "hype"

I sure as hell hope not. He's at best a decent backup. Definitely not starting material.

I thought Scandrick played very solid in the nickel role this year. Wes Welker and Cruz were limited in the slot against us. Those are two of the best slot receivers in the league. Scandrick is not big enough for jump balls.

If it were Wade, yes. With Garrett here, hell no. He'll have to earn it just like everyone else on the roster.

How do you think Nagy was starting Guard at the onset?

Me too. Especially if we've received any indication that Cortland Finnegan would be interested in playing here.

We can go into the season with Finnegan and Jenkins starting and a rookie 1st rounder as our nickel guy.
