We have heard some trusted media scouts report this draft class is loaded at both DT and RB, might stretch all the way into day 3 for each. Now the flip side, not great depth at both WR & off the ball LB.

This suggests you use fa to address our WR and LB needs and load up at those positional groups.

There were so many quality RBs in last year's draft. I was irate when we didn't take any cause there were guys who were taken Rounds 3-5 who really showed something good. Can't make that mistake again!

Where are we with comp picks?

Just take Jeanty and cross RB off your worry list.
Hampton isn't going to fall to 44.

I don't want to have every damn RB go off the board right before our pick.

It's another which flavor do you like most, teams will vary in their rankings, player like Henderson could be ahead of Hampton.

I hope you're right. I would much rather have Hampton . He is the consensuses #2 RB in the draft.

Shhh, don't give Jerry any ideas, you know he's the greatest GM ever, don't mess up his system!

;)

If we could trade down and get a top 75 pick, I would welcome drafting a wide receiver or cornerback first then double down on defensive tackle and draft a running back in the 3rd to go along with a 5th round pick. Just make sure you use that 12th pick effectively. Doubling up on defensive linemen and running backs is the way to go in this draft.

I also think it’s a lock that a top 10 player will fall to 12. (Jeanty, Johnson, Tet, the Georgia boys part 2). The Cowboys can go so many ways in this draft.

That's what I say too. Draft 2 running backs and 2 dtackles. Sign Nick Bolton and Chris Godwin.

My only pushback would be DTs usually take some time to develop…so I’d attack that position hard in FA and still try to get a stud early. Heck I’d double dip in FA and the draft so we can get this room straight for the first time in a decade.

I'd be happy to trade down, if someone would make us the offer. We could slide from #12 to about #15 for an extra 3rd, and drop from #12 to #20 for another second. And I don't think we'd lose out on very much talent at all.

If you told me I could have either Walter Nolan at #12, or Kenneth Grant at #20 plus Treyvion Henderson in the 2nd, I'm taking the second one without blinking.

Perfect world they sign osa or another 3t, add depth at 1T and then add a high pick at the position, along with a developmental type later

That is my thinking, trade back either a wr or DT and get back that pick lost, something similar that happened last yr got Guyton and Beebe

I can see a bunch of ways in this draft. It looked disappointing a few months ago. The talent is still disappointing. Different positions of strengths match our needs. So it’s become interesting.

Trade down to 20 for an extra 2

1. DT
2a. RB
2b. DT
3. LB
5. RB

Osa and Rico walk
Resign Lewis
Sign WR, vet MLB, vet DT

Huh,
Last season was one of the worst RB drafts in history!
