Maybe that’s the way to go and if that’s the way to go I think we need more linemen on both sides of the ball.

The Eagles interior defense will be a problem for many years and keeping Jalen Carter in check will be a priority.

On the flip side we need to be able to stop the run because the Eagles Oline is so dominant that they can just line up and force the ball down your throat.

Washington is going to be very similar.

Dallas desperately needs some playmakers but our lines just ain’t there yet.

If we drafted someone like Banks or Jackson from tOSU I think we are instantly a much stronger unit.

I’m still very pro Tyler Warren because I think he improves our blocking as well as gives us a playmaker.

I think it was Landry that said you build a team to win the division. which also needs to be a team to win it all. So you have to kind of balance that if you truly want a Ring.

The Philthy D and O lines are the key to their SB win. We saw that in spades in the SB.

Just like EVERY CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM, they win on the lines. Dig your trenches well or you get flooded.

We have a lot of needs; but the D has to get priority on the DL and stopping the run. That comes first. Now as regards the O line, since we have so many other needs, I think leaving the young people there for another year to see what we have would be OK. Gotta get a better RB, that is critical as I do not think rico is a bell cow. Ferguson regressed; but I simply do not see Warren worth a first rd pick unless its LATE in the rd.
Fact is that we have so many holes and unless our brain trust (sic) does a real job in FA we will need next year to really rebuild.

We’ve got a ton of needs…just continue to add talent and if the FO ever wakes up to be active in FA maybe we can compete in the next year or 2.

Stacking the lines is never a bad idea.

We are just so talented depleted everywhere.

Is anyone else furious we wasted a 4th on Mingo? Gross..

Just build dominant lines, the weak areas will be better for that reason alone. Dallas can add talent later but build the lines first. Outside in is the wrong approach but I don’t expect anything different.

just like baseball...we need to be strong up the middle.
they'll figure it out...one day.

They are going in the right direction in moving towards more of a modern rushing scheme. Adams had success with the Cardinals without a lot of star talent, especially within their OL. Adams and our new OL coach will be about developing our in house talent and creat a cohesive group. We have to find out if some of these prospects can play and now they will have better coaching.

Defense is all about fixing the run, adding another pass rusher opposite Parsons and having insurance plans for the likes of Overshown, Diggs. All the fa resources will go towards this side of the football. Bring back your in house fa's, then look to improve the weak areas. I believe it starts at DT and LB.

I mean you have to take what the draft gives you but at the same time we are just depleted everywhere.

Diggs & Overshown may never be the same as well.

Jeanty will likely be the best player on the board but how much will he matter if we can’t protect Dak on the road or stop the Eagles Oline.

We need a ton.

Just keep adding talent mantra does not work unless there is a coherent plan

We dont have a plan because our FO has no idea

When you have as many holes as we do at so many positions we need a talent overhaul before we get it into the nitty gritty of what would get us over the top.

I think controlling the LOS and the trenches is a great start.

Both of these teams have an element on offense that keeps the defenses guessing, and that is both QBs can tuck it and run, and run really well. Its the same thing with the Raven. You can't really rush too hard because if you let the QB get loose, it could be a morale breaking big play.

But the Eagles have a clear advantage in the trenches on both sides of the ball. If you want to compete with them you better get stronger in the trenches with them.

True.

I’ll say this though.. Yes Dak isn’t mobile but he is still better at throwing than Hurts.

Dallas under Dak has to know that he just isn’t a big game player and they’ll have to be a running football team to win with him.

Hurts and Dak are similar. Both can be up and down. Hurts more so than Dak I think. But Hurts' running ability is much better than Dak's Dak is so slow now he gets taken down by DTs. He is not a threat to run anymore even if he does make a few big first downs now and then.

But when Hurts is on like he was in the Super Bowl, the Eagles are unbeatable. That TD pass Hurts threw to Smith a a thing of beauty.

Instead of countering Dallas needs to get like/copy the division look at the iDLs:
WAS - Payne n Allen
PHI - Carter, Davis n Williams
NYG - Dexter Lawrence
DAL - Mazi n Osa (UFA)

The counter comes in on the OL. I'm encouraged by the iOL talent (Smith n Beebe), and Interested to see who they add at RG (UFA or Draft?) to cap off the interior rebuild. I'm not too concerned about OTs in a run first scheme, and the way these new OL coaches design plays.

Just copy Philly…have studs at every position.

Hurts throws deep balls because he gets 1 on 1’s because of their run game.

The deep ball is the easiest throw to make.

Reading a defense and throwing into windows over the middle of the field is what is difficult and Dak is better than him at it.

Dak’s a better thrower of the football but Hurts legs make him a problem. Once his legs go his career is over.
