6 Years per Adam Shefter.
Just wow !
Vicks game is so dependent on his amazing athleticism and hes 30. Is this the same Eagles? it sure does not seem that way.
Stupid. They're going to really, really regret this in a couple of years.
Yikes. I sure hope we can afford to keep Romo.
What? lol. You'd think a team would want to see more than just a year from Vick before committing like that.
Damn! Do you know how many pit bulls that fool can buy now?
It's pretty damn stupid that a convicted felon can make that kind of cash.
Good for the eagles...they totally deserve Vick, he fits in nicely!
Wow, he has some high expectations to live up to this year. What a turn around this guy has had.
I don't know. He's an injury waiting to happen with this frame and the way he plays the position.
Lets see how this is structured.....we have seen deals this big and the player never saw all the money that was reported.
The Eagles probably gained some cap room now....with this extension.......I wonder how DJ feels now?
Do they have a good OL to protect him? If they don't Vick is in trouble. What is he, 155 lbs? One big hit and he is through.
That's just crazy money for a guy who is not, and never will be, a pocket passer. Eagles seem to be losing their edge in a front office that has been above average for at least a decade....not that I'm unhappy
The eagles are going to be screwed next year when it comes to cap room. No way they can have much left after all these signings.
Honestly, how do they pay DeSean Jackson now?
So glad they tied they're future to that injury prone loser.
He's looked like complete crap all preseason and they have all regular season to evaluate him and they STILL do it. :laugh2:
I dont hate Vick....he spent his time in Jail....
Vick is very talented....but with all running QB's....father time will slow you down. Last year Vick surprised me with his QB fundamentals...his accuracy improved......I just wonder if it was just a one year wonder.
With that OL like it is....Vick will get hit.....but then again....he plays in a friendly QB system and the NFL basically now have the Defense playing two hand touch on QB's
Its alot of money .....there is no doubt.....but it could be heavy backloaded.
Most of the deals they signed could be just 1 year deals with no cap hit in future years. Also with Vick being franchised and I think was counting 17 mil against the cap this year. Its safe to assume this extension will gain the Eagles more cap room this year and with the way the CBA is.....they could forward some of that cap space to the following year
Maybe they freed up some money to sign Gurode?
NFLnetwork just said 40 million guaranteed, 16 million average in the first three years.
Going off of Lombardi report.
They've lost their freaking minds.
