IRVING, Texas -- Jeremy Mincey has some solid anticipation skills. Before the newest member of the Dallas Cowboys could be asked about DeMarcus Ware, he brought up Ware’s name. “I’m not trying to come in and replace D-Ware,” Mincey said. “You can’t replace players like that, you know what I mean? You can’t replace a player like DeMarcus Ware, but you can improvise and find guys with different gifts and different talents and see what happens.

I didn't read it like that at all. I saw it as his being realistic and saying if you expect me to be another Ware you will be disappointed, but I have skills and I want to be the best I can be. I have to use and develop my own skills. He was not brought in to replace Ware. He is a rotational guy. I am expecting JJ to find a replacement for Ware's position not Ware in the draft.

This guy got pushed around more in the Super Bowl (like 15 plays) than Ware did the entire season. He doesn't have the length to keep blockers away from him so when he meets strength, back he goes. He at least can get into blocker's shoulder pads sometimes but I also saw him completely stopped at the los on a bull rush; you usually expect blockers to give ground on those... not that time. So yeah, keep expectations low. Bull rusher/hand technique rusher only. Like a less effective Selvie clone. Denver also used him from the 3 technique sometimes; I think he had 1 good rush there.

Although it wasn't his fault, he was on the field for 3 seattle TDs in the SB out of ~15 plays

If he can fog a mirror, he can replace what Ware did last season.

You are right, this guy is way better at running a record label than Demarcus will ever be.

Interesting he had a 8 sack year in 2011. Dallad must see something in this guy.

That's how i took it as well. People are going to be sorely disappointed if they think they are getting the healthy DWare replacement. I just want him to be a solid rotational guy who can stand up to the run and make the qb move off his spot.
