You can bet he will be on a short leash tonight.

I agree Holland was very good last year especially in run blocking. Not to mention he came in mid season last year, started 10 games and only gave up a total of 2 sacks.

Yeah, this is what I was going to post.

There would be no upgrade going from Bernardeau to Dockery.

    If anything, I think that's a downgrade.

If Holland is the other option?

    Yep. Definitely for that move.

If they were going to bench him, the would have.

Now we have to see how he plays tonight.

This is what I am hoping. Give him a shot to improve and if he doesn't then go to plan B.

I think tonight is the final straw. If he plays poorly again, a change will be made over the bye. I agree it will probably come via FA, Dockery isn't the answer.

at some point the guy has to show something, I know he missed OTAs and Callahan hasn't had that much time to work with him, but if he doesn't show major improvement then we might as well go with the rookie Leary, let him get some experience...

And replace him with ... the backup safeties and cornerbacks we keep signing?

You'd think signing a backup bench player on the Carolina Panthers would surely solidify one spot on an inept offensive line.

    We must be snakebitten.

I think Costa health will determine that.Costa gets healthy and starts playing center again they may shift cook to rg and bench him.

Bern's probably got a longer leash that we think -- when a guy loses as much time as he did in minicamp/TC, you have to be at least a little patient ... and hope that Romo lives through it. I really don't see how Dockery is gonna be some sort of revelation. And Holland? Folks just gotta get over him. He clearly has zero desire to play. Mr. "I'm out of work but won't work unless you give me more money than anyone else in this situation would normally ask for."

To be fair hes been persistent about fixing the line and never thought these guys were viable options. And so far he's right.

    Apparently the man has options.

I'm not blaming Holland for wanting to get paid if he plays, I'm blaming the Cowboys for again not making offensive line - and paying for it - a priority.

Maybe Ryan Cook can slide over when Costa comes back.
