    Falcons Franchise Brent Grimes --
    Fri Mar 2, 2012 --from FFMastermind.com

ESPN reports the Atlanta Falcons announced Friday they had placed their franchise tag on CB Brent Grimes. Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff told WQXI-AM in Atlanta that the team wants to work out a long-term deal with the veteran cornerback, according to the Falcons' website. "Our feeling is, Brent Grimes is an excellent athlete with the ability to move, cover, break on the ball with some of the top corners in this league and we feel comfortable with his abilities," Dimitroff said, according to the report. "We're encouraged about having him back."

I disagree, Grimes is a pretty solid CB. He is better than anyone we have on the roster at the moment.

Not sure if srs. Scandrick is a JAG. Grimes is a very good/borderline elite cornerback.
