HOUSTON_After a week of soul searching and an 0-2 start, the Dallas Cowboys might have found themselves after a 27-13 win over the Houston Texans in front of an announced crowd of 71,456 at Reliant Stadium Sunday.

Quarterback Tony Romo passed for 284 yards and two touchdowns, both to Roy Williams, to lead a balanced offense and the defense created three turnovers in the win. Even the special teams got involved with maligned kicker David Buehler making field goals of 49 and 40 yards
The Cowboys (1-2) have a bye next week.

The Romo-to-Williams connection was most impressive after their history of missed connections. Romo completed 23 of 30 passes for 284 yards to finish with a passer rating of 127.6. Williams caught five passes for 117 yards, including touchdown receptions of 15 and 63 yards. His 63-yard catch-and-run play early in the fourth gave the Cowboys a 24-6 lead.
“They got in sync,” Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said. “That’s good for us and bad for teams that play us.”
