The right guy was fired but for the wrong reasons.

The wrong guy was hired but for the right reasons.

In a major shakedown at Valley Ranch on Monday, it would not be accurate to say Jerry Jones screwed up this process. He didn't. But, of course, he will.

For 16 years and counting, from the day the Jimster left town in 1994, one truth has been constant:

The Cowboys are going nowhere near another Super Bowl, and never will, as long as Jerry the Owner keeps Jerry the GM as his football guru. If that reads like an echo, it is.

But no matter how many years you print it, it's still accurate.

That one exception, a Super Bowl run in the 1995 season, came with Jimmy's players, but once age and anarchy in the streets caught up with that group, we know the rest of the story.

Agreed. Gallowaste is so rediculous. He hasn't changed his JJ hatred since I left Texas in 97. The man to this day still beats the fire JJ horse.

He needs to talk to Troy. Troy will tell him exactly what a waste of time it is to even discuss it.

Jerry Jones owns the blasted team and will do w/e he wants to do, so its a completely insane to keep harping about it. :laugh2:

But by all means...Gallowaste got his article out even though its the same article he writes year in and year out.

This is definitely an original take on the situation. Thanks, Randy.

Doesn't change the fact that what RG says is true (despite being very annoying in how he says it.)

Well, maybe Jerry Jones will never listen. But maybe he will.

Amazing to me that people can't ever look forward and seem to be hung up on what happened years and years ago. The future is ahead of the Cowboy's, what's past is past. Galloway and loads of other writers only want to talk about what Super Bowls we won years ago. Well, that like talking about an old hunting dog that's long since gone. Great memories, but it doesn't help you get ready for the next hunting season. In short, lets look ahead. I personally don't believe that Garret will be given enough of a chance to succeed, because he's got too much to overcome. However, I have zero doubt he will be a head coach somewhere and he will do well. Just probably won't be here. What would be truly nice is if they actually let him have some power and let him truly show what he can do as coach. He has the brain power and has the drive. The only question is can he lead. We will find out soon enough for sure.

PS. No chance in hell we win this weekend, but we won't be embarrassed and that's a much better outcome then what's happened the last few weeks. Double PS. I think the proof on where we will be will come at the first home game against Detroit. Like us they are have a back up QB starting that no one wanted. Unlike us, they are young and hungry. Will be interesting if we can remember what being hungry is like.
