IRVING -- For any true Dallas Cowboys fan, the 1994 Thanksgiving Day game needs no introduction.

It's simply the Jason Garrett game, a part of Cowboys lore alongside the Clint Longley game in 1974 -- forever remembered in the team's rich and colorful history.

Garrett, then a little-known, second-year, third-string quarterback, made his first start of the season for the defending Super Bowl champions because of injuries to Troy Aikman and Rodney Peete. He shocked the world by completing 15 of 26 passes for 311 yards and two touchdowns in leading the Cowboys to 36 second-half points in a 42-31 comeback victory over the Green Bay Packers.

For many of the current Cowboys, the game and the heroics of their coach in it, might as well be Greek mythology.
