I remember the talk of making opposing teams stay in their base defenses as a reason for drafting Bennett.

Is it the cowboys fault he never developed into that role?

Had Phillips stayed healthy he'd have relegated Bennett to 3rd on the depth chart.

The guy never took his role seriously in Dallas and now as a full time starter in NY he put up average numbers.

It's nothing really to complain about. IMO.

My hope is that Hanna gives Dallas the Hernandez type weapon you see out in New England.

don't get your panties in a wad that no one else thinks much of the Tard except you.

Just what was his ranking vs other NFL TE's?

AND did you notice how much he was ignored later in the season?

Probably not. You do not strike me as being particularly observant.

    Exactly right.

In two out of the Giants final 3 games, when they were fighting for the playoffs, Bennett caught 1 pass.

2 times in the three most important games of the year for his team and he came up with 1 catch in each game.

Also of note he had 4 games through out the year where he only caught 1 ball. Of course I'll mention that Witten only caught 1 pass in each of the first 3 games of last season, while recovering from his spleen injury, but as soon as he was healthy he exploded and went onto a career year.

I think he's one of the top five back-up QB's in the league. I feel comfortable with him coming in for Romo for a game or two. Hopefully the Oline wouldn't get him killed.

How is that a shot? Heaven forbid people actually desire truth and accuracy.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Hanna does next year.

Martellus did do better with the Giants, but he also messed up routes and had drops. I saw Eli Manning yell at him on Monday Night Football. Next, Bennett will be hating on Eli and blame the Giants that he didn't do better. I can't stand him or his trash talking brother.

Perhaps one of the most significant comments in a post on this board in the last several years.

it is so simple when someone articulates truth.

    Leadership makes people better.

Note Orton is on him and not just standing back and leading by example.

He's a top 20 QB. Teams are just trying out younger players but he's a top guy.

I dunno if he's a better QB than I think he is, but he's definitely a better leader/teacher than I ever gave him credit for. This is realy great to hear. This is a true team player.

Yup, everyone on the team is an "elite" player/prospect. Such is the life of a Cowboys fan.

Really? I think most of the board considers him to be one of the best backups in the NFL and is very happy with him. I don't really recall hearing a lot of other talk, but maybe I'm wrong?

Seems that went over everybody's head. They've been programmed by the mediots to believe that there is no leadership on this team. Instead we get 2 pages about Marty B in a Hanna thread.

If Hanna is in as the 3rd receiver I think he will get his chances.

One thing for sure , he can run...

I like Orton. He's value doesn't just rest on his ability to play QB

what i wouldn't give for this man to get a shot at being the starter for us next season!kyle orton is a professional qb, ive it said for months now.

you guys have no clue how much this man would change the entire culture out at valley ranch!if he ever gets the chance, the difference between the qb's will be night and day.this place will be shocked at how superior a football player orton is an comparison to tony romo.all of the so called experts will be shocked!

just remember where you heard it first.
