News: FWST: Tom Ciskowski stays with Cowboys after Colts hire Grigson (Notes)

    Tom Ciskowski is staying with the Dallas Cowboys. Or at least, not going to the Indianapolis Colts.

    Ciskowski, assistant personnel director for the Cowboys, interviewed for the general manager position with the Colts. But the Colts reportedly have chosen Ryan Grigson from the Philadelphia Eagles for the position. Grigson has spent the past nine seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, the past two as director of player personnel.

    Ciskowski has been the Cowboys' top scout since 2008, when the team picked Felix Jones and Mike Jenkins in the first round. He has been with the Cowboys since 1992.

    Cowboys add two
    The Cowboys signed linebacker Baraka Atkins and safety Justin Taplin-Ross to futures contracts for next season.

    With the strength of the past two drafts, I'm glad that system sustainment has been kept in tact. That means that the lower ends of the information flow are developing to produce the recent results. That shows an organizational strength. And should improve in strengths just below Ciskowski as well. That's good...
