In retrospect, the release was worth it because we got to see the Loper youtube highlights
glad to see he made it to the practice squad.
Good news. I think he has potential as a third receiver.
clearly he isnt as good as everything who was crying and complaining thought he was..nobody wanted him
Harris made through waivers?
There's a nearly 300-post thread in the NewsZone punctuated with remarks which would lead one to believe that Harris was gone forever. Ain't that something?
Question, when a guy is released and brought back for the practice squad, how does that affect his salary?
I was upset about possibly losing him, definitely. Looks like the move makes sense now, lol. I understand now that they kept him on the 53 despite being raw, because you release a guy you just drafted at the beginning of the year, and people will more than likely be all over him. However, do it in the middle of the year and people have other needs and likely won't waste a roster spot for a developmental WR. So, I take back my premature ruing
And since Rucker was picked off the practice squad by the Jaguars the Cowboys have room to put Harris on the PS if they want.
BM...Thank you for your sigs:bow:
Rue is premature??? I don't know. She seems kinda mature to me. :
That's good news, imo.
Teams avoid picking up fairly unpolished rookies at this time of year--whcih made his odds pretty good of clearing. If it was at the beginning of the year, before everyone had set their rosters, he would have been gone. Right now, teams want immediate help--so we should feel lucky to have landed Robinson
As some here have said earlier (realtick for example), Harris could use some refining. I think he has a shot in this league. We'll see.
Glad to see him clear wavier and on to the PS.
Loooool. So true.
I agree he has a shot in the NFL, but even if he doesn't pan out it isn't too difficult to find guys with a similar skill set to his.
Ah, but will any of them have the cool looking dreads? Answer that question sir.
I know many here will roll their eyes, but I see some Hines Ward in Harris.
Tough, quick enough, fast enough, decent hands, will go over the middle, has a nose for endzone, blocks ok...etc. So I see upside with him.
Forget the long TD, he made some gritty plays in traffic. He also had redzone TDs in a preseason game and to close out the San Diego scrimmage.
He also seemed to be lost at times.....
I've said all along, just keep expectations in check, as he was only a 6th rounder.
He's on the PS. Can't he be snatched up when another team wants?
Guess I don't understand why folks get gitty we got one of our guys to the PS. You know they can still be signed by just about any team at any time.
He could be here today.....gone tomorrow.
