Marvin Harrison took him to the woodshed in our game against the Colts his last season here. (1999, week 8)

    Badly.

I realize he was injured, but he still got whipped like an ugly step child.

Yep. Played with pulled hamstring that game. Kept him from returning a punt for a TD very early in that game. Ended up just short of the endzone and made his hamstring worse.

Deion mostly covered Alvin Harper one on one in that 1994 championship game. He only had a few plays against Irvin. He interecepted a pass on one of them and got beat on another that should have been a pass interference against him.

Every corner gets beat and Deion did as well. He also won a lot of battles. Easily more than he lost.

Hated him before he was a Cowboy.
Loved him when he was a Cowboy.

best ever ?? everyone will have their own opinions.
i too have watched football for over 40 years like an earlier poster.
in all that time i dont remember any other cornerback that teams would
just not throw against like they would to avoid deion.
personality wise.....some will like, some will hate but i always felt deion
did a lot of what he did to enhance his fame, which translated into
making lots of money so i am sure he was laughing all they way to the
bank at all the people talking or writing about him, good or bad.
the only time i ever hated him was when he played against the Cowboys.
when he got here i enjoyed watching him.
tackling ?? he tackled good enough for Jimmy Johnson to want him on his team
so thats good enough for me.
you dont have to like the man but at least be objective enough to give him his due. just my opinion i could be wrong.

He was also a 32 year old DB that relied heavily on his speed and quickness, playing in his 11th season at that point.
Playing against a probable HOF receiver in his prime.

Did Jimmy Johson say that? The reason I ask is that JJ was gone when Deion joined Dallas.

He was a sure fire HOF CB going against a probable HOF WR and he got eaten alive The question was "Can anyone find the games where Deion go schooled?"

I mentioned Deion was less than 100%. He was still in good enough shape to have a 76 yard punt return in that game.
