For the longest time, we had the talent on this team, but we just didn't have the right mindset, will, desire, attitude or leadership. Now, I think we've truly turned a corner and we have both the talent and the right desire, attitude, etc. That combination of things should make us a lethal championship contending team. But two things are now holding us back: injuries and coaching. Call it an excuse if you want, but our defense has been shredded by injuries. It's hard to stop today's offenses with your top personnel, much less with guys who were working at Home Depot a week ago. And it seems like our coaching staff always manages to make some sort of game-ending time management or play calling gaffes. We have the talent. We have the leadership and desire. Now we just need health and coaching smarts. One of those could change this season. I'm not sure about the other.
