Is Tony Romo's new deal Jerry's worst move?

Are people suddenly forgetting the idiotic trade for Roy Williams and the ridiculous contract extension he got right after? Or the Joey Galloway trade?

Funny thing about sports, you never know what's going to happen.

Like Flacco, this deal only seems big because it's the most recent. Rodgers will be more, and whoever is the next decent QB to get a contract will be even more.

Cap goes up, contracts go up.

The only thing that remains the same is the constant, incessant and unnecessary whining from the likes of the OP.

Cue the flood of posts saying "all that remains the same is 8-8, OR the cowboy's mediocrity OR Jerry Jones OR Garrett OR interceptions OR no playoffs OR blah..."

Just stop already Vic. What exactly has your man crush Barkley done at USC? He came back this year to win a title. Didn't exactly happen, did it. Now, go ahead and blame the rest of the team. And, when you do, just understand that most folks on here that really understand what is holding Dallas back will counter your Romo bashing with the same argument.

How convenient that you completely ignore the putrid offensive line that nearly got him killed on multiple occasions. Did I mention the All-Pro running game? Get real. The only reason Dallas has made the playoffs period in the last seven years is because of Tony Romo. Combine the weakness in the trenches with the combination of yes men that have roamed the sidelines and this team could have very well been the Kansas City Chiefs of the NFC. The current QB of THIS Dallas Cowboys team is part of the solution, not the problem, my fair-weathered friend.

So what happens if Garrett gets fired after this season and the new coach wants to blow the thing up and go in a different direction at QB?

As crappy as this deal is, trading two firsts for Joey Galloway was WAY worse.

Tell that to Bart Starr, Johnny Unitas, Roger Staubach, Jim Plunkett, Joe Theismann, Phil Simms, Joe Montana, Steve Young, John Elway, and Brad Johnson because they were all over 32 when they won a SuperBowl.

Don't bother. You're talking to a guy who is certain Matt Barkley is the next Aaron Rodgers.
    Yes, you read that right.
So take that into account regarding Vic's take on QB play?
He's entitled to that opinion, but just saying.

Both 49er QBs won titles that deep into their 30s. Damn.

Bzzzt. Romo gets a raise if he goes to free agency, there's no way around it. He's highly regarded by people around the league, and there are too many teams that need a proven QB - which Romo is.

The only places you see people complaining about how terrible Romo is are in bars and on message boards.

First it was T.O. then it was the defense was not any good. then it was Dez and Myles running the wrong patterns. then it was Wade Phillips. now it's the O-Line. you Romo lovers are running out of people to blame.but im sure you will try and blame something or someone else.

Other than Barkleys arm strength ranges between Chad Pennington and Matt Leinart and his forty time compares a lot to Ryan Mallett and Tom Brady, yea I'd say he's done a good job in finding a guy that compared to Rodgers lol.
