Ha ha couldn't have said it better OP is so clueless Room would been the highest paid player in NFL history as a free agent.

Mark my words Floaty - today is one of the great days in Cowboys history!

    Lol.....waaaaa!

6 years is a lot. But what the cowboy fan dunces don't realize is that romo is the best thing we have going. It's the rest of the team and the coaching that needs to step up.

Exactly - cherry picking stats - Moses could QB the Cowboys and people would hate it. Disingenuous post.

Not sure Moses could throw the deep out either.

Deon "the Difference" Sanders won back to back with the 9ers and Cowboys.

If we could sign one person and guarantee a SB win it's worth killing any salary cap! ....erry days all day long and twice on Sundays, three times in tic tac toe, and four times in December.

I totally disagree. The end for us was 17 years ago.

It's basically a 65 mil contract. Step way from the ledge folks.

Jerry's made a lot of stupid moves, and this ranks right up there with the worst of 'em.

Plus 95% or more of the average fans have no clue how these contracts work.

Actually, they kinda can keep robbing Peter to pay Paul. The way the salary cap works kinda allows for that. I used to think that things would've eventually crashed and burned, but that isn't the case. This year was one where it all caught up with us, but here we are now-- after keeping Spencer, dealing with a 5 mil penalty, signing a few low priced guys and locking up our QB -- with 5 mil in cap space and more to come after June 1.

Cap-economics is not real economics. It doesn't ever have to "catch up"

The key word begins with a "G".

That's big money. Potentially a handicap.

If you want to believe that I guess that's ok.....

I guess that makes you one of those guys that can live with Wil Allen over Micheal Huff. Or Nate Livings over Davin Joseph/Ben Grubbs.

I could go on and on....but the point is before you know it maybe 5 or 6 guys are gonna account for 75% of our cap and we we are gonna have nothing but scrubs on the field expecting to win a title.

I've seen this Jerry circus play out before...I'm not gonna buy into it again.

I can't believe the amount of overreaction. Everyone should've known the deal was coming & Romo pretty much got what other teams would've paid him. Others probably would've paid more actually.

And we did not draft Brady in the 5th round. Man.

Glad Romo gave the home team discount.

    Who would have paid more??????

No one would have paid that......And here is the kicker.

Jerry just thinks he can re-do Romo's deal to save money...what if Romo pulls a Carson Palmer and says no to a restructure?

    Let that fun begin.

People don't realize it....But Jerry is no longer in control of this franchise. Tony Romo is.

And really I'm not sure if this is a good thing or bad.

What if Tony gets tired of running for his life and wants out and forces a trade?

    OP needs more smilies.

    Also less terrible opinions.

I hope the OP is wrong (Although I have my doubts) but I just hope and pray Jerry hedges his bets by drafting O-line in the first 3 rounds and a RB in the 4rth. After that maybe D-line...

If you don't like Jerry so much and you think he's got this big conspiracy out against YOU and YOU alone then I suggest you just go find a new team then, there are 31 others you know?

Don't you feel better now that you got that off of your chest? I really hope so.
