I'll take those PROVEN 7 sacks any day. One year deal and throw a couple of million at him.

Maybe if all our DE's flop we take a look see. He might be a progress stopper here. Don't forget we have a similar guy in Spencer when he returns.

TO be fair Dallas has been playing like or less than arena league teams. The players agents just got confused as to which league Dallas was in.

A lot of reason to shoot this down, but hey if you could get him cheap, keep putting players in that rotation.

Seattle proved last year that a fresh rotation of good DL players is still very, very effective.

Jason Babin, who was cut by #Jaguars today, was @PFF's No. 8 pass-rushing 4-3 DE among 52 qualifiers in 2013. 34yo & liability vs run

If the Jags don't want him why should we? He'll probably go to KC on something like a 2 yr contract but he's done.

If we were a player or so away from a SB then I'd consider him as a situational pass rusher. Here he's possibly a progress stopper. He may have a season or two in him as a pass rusher. Just not here.

    journeyman, whose had success....
I wouldn't mind if he was just a specialist... can't be no worse than spencer (who we don't even know will see the field)
that being said, I want the young guys to play....

So how exactly is picking up a proven pro bowl player worse than signing a crippled de who has never even played in this defense before? I'd prefer to sign the player who could help from day one.

I'd still consider him for that role IF we get into camp and it's evident that the players we're relying on are not going to cut it. If someone else picks him up in the interim, I'm fine with that.

He's douchey and unless we hired Jim Washburn as our DL coach, he's probably not a whole lot better than what we have. He's only really thrived when playing that silly Wide 9 defensive front.
