We do have to get better with drafting, and like the draft of OT Smith and C Fredericks.
David Yankey, RD 2. That's our starting RG next year & backup tackle
No, you take the DE if there is a first round grade on him and I said if there is a position of need graded or rated closely then you take the position of need ,or you trade back a couple picks and add a 6th or 7th rounder if you can... But if the DE has a second round grade on him but he's the best available DE you don't just take him because you need a DE because your stretching, you move back and add more picks later in the draft. Most of the good teams that draft well draft this way, and Dallas has also been doing a better job of drafting with the exception of 2012.
Agree with you but it doesn't need a total makeover, the Dline has been playing really well but with Spencer most likely gone next year and Ware and Ratliff being a year older but still can get production from both if healthy. Keeping Hatcher would make a lot of sense, especially if he continues to play at this level. they do need to add 3 players on the DLine, I'd say hopefully a DE and 2 DT's. I'd like to see them draft 2 of those players with their first 4 picks if there is players worthy of those picks and add a big heavy veteran to help play the 1 technique and clog the middle in run defense. We also get Crawford back and hopefully by then this kid Rayford has developed enough to get some snaps as well. That mix of players with Marinelli's coaching can be a formidable to very good defensive line now and in the future.
Even with spencer gone the Cowboys should be good at DE withWare, Crawford, Rayford(not Robert D.) Selvie,ect.. The Cowboys need a top DT in next years draft and might need to give up picks to move up to get that top DT.
