He is not my first choice as the player I want us to take, but I wouldn't shed a tear if we took him...
where is he projected.....could we trade down to get him?
Don't know much about this guy...obviously he is in the running for the Underwear Olympics!!!
After watching his highlight videos I really like how he goes right at a OT. He obviously has alot of power and good speed. Who ever Ireland likes the best is my man.
Man he looks mean!
Does he hang out with Barry Bonds?
I totally agree. He just doesn't try to run a long loop around the tackle like so many one dimensional speed rusher. He gets the OT back on his heels right off the snap and he can then take an outside or inside move from that point. That's what the great ones do. Unfortunately, I think he's going to Cleveland at #12.
Jeff Ireland will sort things out in our favor! The guy really knows talent...
Cool name. I bet people call him Wimbo.
There's only one Wimbo man!
I believe he will go anywhere from #12 to #24. With that said, if Wimbley goes first, then Lawson should be available at pick #18 and vice versa. I really want Lawson though, but after watching footage of Wimbley, I wouldn't be disappointed if was our man. Carpenter looked good to but I am not convinced that he is SOLB material yet.
I really like Wimbley. A lot more tham most.
As we get closer to the draft he gets closer and closer to my number 1 choice.
Sign me up!
Unfrotunately, like someone already said... Cleveland loves the guy, so I'm afraid he might be gone by 18. Cleveland might try to move back a few spots and still nab him... if they do that, surely they wouldn't go beyond 17 because they know we'd nab him or Lawson... whichever they might want.
If they move back to say, 16 and we really like one of the OLB's a lot more than the other's... let's say Wimbley... then, if we think he's that special, we need to jump up in front of Cleveland and nab him. Maybe to pick #15 with Denver. We could really piss off Cleveland and get our guy!
I actually think that this player might be our primary target. We've shown him love at the all star games, we showed him love at the combine, we worked him out privatly, he's clearly on our radar. 6-4 250 lbs DE/OLB that projects very well to a 34 and has a great first step? Yeah, I think he's there.
This draft has Cleveland taking DT Ngata at pick #12, leaving Dallas to choose between Wimbley and Lawson. We take Wimbley according to this mock, and Lawson drops all the way to pick #29 (NY Jets).
In round 2, we get FS Ko Simpson, who will be a great addition.
In round 3, we snab WR Demetrius Williams, who could be a nice steal with his deap ball threat ability.
Going to regret this but here goes....
Is Manny Lawson really a 1st round pick?
