Was it attitude, talent, or something else from Baylor we haven't heard yet?
Wow that was fast,....did he say he hated Joe Montana or jerry rice or something
Gotta be attitude. Doesn't John Lynch have draft philosophy as to what character traits he's looking for with new players? Im guessing Cannon probably didn't meet his criteria.
Maybe he didn't fit their needs!!!! Players have to find right system. Maybe his agent asked him to be released That could be possible. Plus SF is going to suck. No QB........
there was a reason he didn't go drafted, the niners probably took a flier on him and realized it just wasn't worth it, its either an injury, drug test or off field legal issues I would imagine...
they took more than a flyer on him, they gave him 45K.
Local area prospect. If the Cowboys aren't interested, kinda says a lot.
How many chances can they give him? It was time.
yeah that makes more strange. arrest over the weekend?
Maybe he should go to a team that is in the habit of hiring incompetent people to important positions to "train them" because the GM does not have to worry about winning or being fired
Word is he didn't run through his routes like Lynch wanted him too. Guess he wasn't good for the culture
Where did the sense of entitlement come from? Not getting drafted should have been a large clue.
I was interested when the 49ers cut Mike Davis if he was worth looking at over Jahad Temple RB guy. Not sure how bad Davis is.
He's just too raw probably. That Briles offense is so robotic, I would not touch any of the QBs from that system and then the WRs that come out of there are hit or miss. He should have either stayed in school another year and learned to adapt his game under the new coach's offense (which is most likely going to be a pro-style offense) or transferred and sat out a year.
Seems like an over zealous new GM with no background in personnel trying to make a statement here.
Ooh. You're so tough, John. Pffffft.
He wouldn't stand for the pledge of allegiance prior to the start of practice.
