    Seems like an unlikely partnership.

Wouldn't he have to be the party's candidate before he could pick a running mate?

The article is speculating about an independent bid based on Kucinich's desire to unite and heal a politically divided country.

I just don't see Ron Paul serving under a president who wants medicare for all.

The most conservative, to the point of alienating his party, teaming up with one of the most left leaning candidates...don't see it happening.

The only issues they have in common is stopping the war.

Furthermore Paul has already been on record saying he would not run on an independent ticket if he lost the republican nomination.

They also agree on rethinking the war on a drugs, have an abiding respect for the constitution of the US, and a have a little mutual admiration society. Apparently, Ron Paul has said that among the democrats he would support his good friend DK.
