I like him. Has already played 3-4 OLB.
Is this about where you thought he would go?
Kiper has 4.78 also.
Sounds like a camp body.
High motor, versatile, fair amount of production, good size for SOLB at 6'4 250 but will need to throw on about 10 lbs. of muscle and continue refining his game.
My guess... Blake would've been the pick. But this guy will provide quality depth, nice ST ability, and will compete with Victor Butler to be the #3 OLB to come on the field on 3rd down. And best case is he shows enough to let Spencer test the FA waters, thus saving us a lot of money by hitting on a 4th round pick.
Not overjoyed, but it does makes sense.
Yeah, according to my spreadsheet we got plus value of +7 I believe
From what the guys on the ticket are saying when we hear this kids story we are going to be so impressed with him that we will be rooting for him from day one.
Has already played 3-4 OLB in college.
40 Yrd Dash: 4.64
20 Yrd Dash: 2.65
10 Yrd Dash: 1.65 225 Lb. Bench Reps:
Vertical Jump: 33 1/2
Broad Jump: 10'00"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.43
3-Cone Drill: 7.83
He seems to be pretty quick and have 4.64 speed (which is nice) but his 3 cone 7.83 but his 3 cone at the combine was 7.11.... I love his motor and that he played OLB in 3-4 already so he will be ahead on the learning curve. Might be a poor mans ryan kerrigan.
