This morning's practice was just ST and there wasn't a whole lot to post about. Anywho, tonight's practice is a pads practice. Hatcher and Miles given day off per twitter.

    Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon 54m
Definitely a veteran's day for Jason Hatcher and Miles Austin. No need for concern.
David Arkin stays at right guard with Nate Livings back at left guard. I'd rather have Kevin Kowalski gets those reps.
Ben Bass is working at DT again with Jason Hatcher getting a day off. Cameron Sheffield is starting LDE.
With Miles Austin getting day off, Cole Beasley is slot guy and Terrance Williams outside with first 3-wide groups.
Miles Austin makes himself using while taking an extra day off pic.twitter.com/DVTSzT36vr
1-on-1s start with Dez beating Mo for a TD on a fade.
Eric Rogers, a local kid, thrills his cheering section with a TD on a fade. ... Incomplete in end zone to Dez, who calls for flag on Mo.
Brandon Carr had great position, but Dez goes over him to snatch a TD in back corner of end zone.
Brandon Carr won his last two reps against Dez Bryant. Carr is strong enough to make Dez's releases tough.
Pretty catch on back-shoulder fade for Terrance Williams, but he landed out of bounds.
Highlight on LB/TE 1-on-1s was a Sean Lee pick six on a pass to Phillip Tanner in the flat. Lee has best hands on defense.

    Calvin Watkins ‏@calvinwatkins 54m
Carl Johnson and. NFL crew working practice today.
Tony Romo is practicing with a helmet on in the early stages of practice while his teammates are not wearing one.
Miles Austin working the pads with the WRs.
James Hanna working the resistance bands in rehab.
Lance Dunbar does nice job beating Justin Durant in the flat
Sean lee with a pick as a pass is thrown to tanner.
Terrance Williams did a nice job catching a pass on Brandon Carr for a TD during 1-1. But ran the wrong route on another play.
Williams makes a nice catch against Claiborne but he was out of bounds.
Cole Beasley with a rare drop.
Beasley rebounds catches a pass against Scandrick

    Todd Archer ‏@toddarcher 50m
Nate Livings is back at LG spot on first team offense

    Brandon George ‏@dmn_george 47m
Former Cowboys TE Jay Novacek is at training camp practice today.
Nate Livings is back at first-team LG with David Arkin still at RG. Terrance Williams with first-team in for WR Miles Austin.
Cowboys DL coach Rod Marinelli was knocked down by a DL in position drills. Probably not a good way to make the team. Or is it?
LB Sean Lee broke perfect on a pass to right flat to make INT in front of RB Phillip Tanner in 1-on-1 drills.

    Carlos A. Mendez ‏@calexmendez 38m
Beasley in the slot for Austin on his day off. Immediately garners a correction from Romo. They run it again.
Cowboys send out a look with Witten, Escobar as the widest receivers in the formation. That's some big boats out there.
    Still Dunbar ahead of Tanner.
Ben Bass still running first team. Coaches saw nothing on the off day to change their mind.
    Mo finally won one. #cowboys #dezvsmo pic.twitter.com/nHeqQvZfTN

    Rafael Vela ‏@CowboysNation1 27m
Dez gettimg assistance from a trainer diuring stretching Got to protect the money maker.
One on one Ss and LBs vs. TEs and RBs. Dominated by the vets Witten and Lee.
Lots of fundamental work today. Still no live scrimmaging

    Bryan Broaddus ‏@BryanBroaddus 20m
Ben Bass has kicked back down inside at the 3 technique with Lissemore at the 1 while Hatcher takes this day off.

Bruce Carter blitzes up middle to get to Tony Romo. Tough way to welcome Nate Livings to practice.
Sean Lee finds a way to get the ball in his hands. Forces and recovers a fumble.
SLB Justin Durant gets in Romo's face, bats a ball down. Lots of blitzing by D today.
Brandon Magee with a big pop to stand up Phillip Tanner in the hole. There's a reason Cowboys had 4th-round grade on undrafted rookie.
Brandon Magee makes another play, chasing down Joseph Randle behind the line of scrimmage on an off-tackle play.
Pretty play-action fake by Romo, buying time for Jason Witten to run all the way across the field and get open.
Sam LB Justin Durant blows up a TE screen to Witten. This is most active I've seen Durant.
Matt Johnson makes his first big play of camp, picking off a deep ball to Dez Bryant. Then he went straight to athletic trainer. Not kidding

    Carlos A. Mendez ‏@calexmendez 7m
Time for some team. Bass is in Hatcher's spot at 3 tech. Cam Scheffield at the other rush end.
Sean Lee vs. Murray. Forced fumble, then a scoop and score. Classic.
Arkin and Kowalski remain first-team guards in 11 on 11
    1s offense pulled. Pre-snap penalty.
    2s offense pulled. False start.
3s offense can't run a play. Cochart not lined up right.
3s finally run their play. Bruce Carter destroys a run outside by Tanner.

    Jon Machota ‏@jonmachota 7m
No surprise, Sean Lee with a big play. Hits DeMarco Murray, knocking the ball loose. Lee recovered the fumble and ran it back.

    Calvin Watkins ‏@calvinwatkins 7m
During this 11-11 carter has a sack and lee a forced fumble
We're not sure what's wrong with Johnson but he has a team of trainers around him.

    Brad Sham ‏@Boys_Vox 6m
    Defensive sleeper: DE Cameron Scheffield

    Clarence Hill ‏@clarencehilljr 3m
All Running backs holding ball with two hands through hole after Murray fumble
Matt Johnson picks off romo and gets hurt on return. Can't make this stuff up.

    Todd Archer ‏@toddarcher 3m
Alex Tanney just got the first third team QB snap. First time that has happened.
Matt Johnson sighting: picks deep ball to Tony Romo. Appears hurt after the play. Getting looked at

    Bryan Broaddus ‏@BryanBroaddus 3m
Frederick and Costa are trading off at right guard while Cook is the center. Still like the rookie more at center.
Williams running with the ones while Austin enjoys his VET day off. Escobar with illegal motion penalty sends the ones off for a play.

    Rowan Kavner ‏@KavnerDC 3m
Brandon Magee is all around the ball and ballcarrier today
Matt Johnson gets himself a pick, coming over the top on a fade to Dez

    Jean-Jacques Taylor ‏@JJT_ESPNDallas 1m
False start. False start. Play scrapped caise thry lined up wrong. Sigh.

Matt Johnson intercepts a Tony Romo pass intended for Dez Bryant. But Johnson seemed to hurt himself on the play.

He has returned to practice. Matt Johnson has returned to practice. On field goal defense.

"Williams makes a nice catch against Claiborne but he was out of bounds. Pretty catch on back-shoulder fade for Terrance Williams, but he landed out of bounds."

Hopefully that's not a sign of bad awareness, though I guess we'll see. Hopefully nothing serious with Glass Johnson.

I saw a video on espn on Dez and MO going at it. Dez is making some incredible plays. MO is right on him on most of these plays. But dez is just coming up with big catches. 95% of the wr's in the nfl do not make them catches Mo is covering. Mo seems to be stronger and in better posistion. Think ur going to some something nasty on him this yr. Especially with all this work against Dez

Randle scout team punt return. Drops one. An easy one. No pressure.
Some guys just made to catch punts. Cole Beasley.

    Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon 4m
Dez Bryant chatting up Jay Novacek. The "mentor" thing last camp was way overblown, but Dez likes picking brains of great route-runners.
Matt Johnson is taking special teams reps, so he can't be hurt too bad.

    Brandon George ‏@dmn_george 2m
Doesn't look like rookie RB Joseph Randle is ready to return punts: Dropped ball with no one around and then fell down after catching next 1

On that pick, btw, Johnson had ideal over-the-top coverage on a deep ball for Dez. Romo not enough on it. MJ went up and got.
Romo seeing Beasley well. Giving him chances as he plays for Miles.

    Calvin Watkins ‏@calvinwatkins 1m
Matt Johnson is back running well during 7-7.
Terrance Williams with a TD catch in 7-7.
In the 7-7 period wade Wilson calls the plays while bill Callahan works with the offensive line.

    Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon 1m
Tony Romo throws a beautiful touch pass into a tiny window in end zone, but Cole Beasley can't make catch. Good coverage by Scandrick
Safeties having tough time in red zone 7-on-7s. Romo TD passes in middle of field to Witten and Beasley on back-to-back reps.
Undrafted WR Eric Rogers scores on a fade in third-team reps, thrilling the Cal Lutheran co-eds in front row.

    Todd Archer ‏@toddarcher 1m
Back to back TD throws in 7 on 7 red zone work for Romo. First to Witten on seam, second to Beasley
First sign of Jared Green's speed on under route. Turned upfield and ran away from D

I'm loving watching training camp on NFLN. Especially when the haters are not at work. It's the first time I heard someone summarize our problems last year in an unbiased manner. The D couldn't stop anyone either. It wasn't all bad offensive plays at bad times.

    Drop by Dez. Wow
Dez makes up for drop with catch in red zone
Lee with near picK of romo. Knocks it away from witten
    Wilber with sack on room
Romo with td to anthony Armstrong
    Romo pass to Armstrong
Inc pass. Cowboys first team offense finishes two minute drill with fg

    Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon 13m
Orlando Scandrick is having a good practice. Just tipped a pass intended for Dez Bryant on a slant behind him.
I'm high on Barry Church, but he's got no chance to cover Jason Witten one-on-one.
Orlando Scandrick gets to Tony Romo on a blitz. Scandrick has always had knack for timing blitzes.
WR Anthony Armstrong has had his best practice of camp. Caught several balls from Romo, including a TD.
First-team 2-minute drill ends with Dan Bailey drilling a long FG. He's been money all camp.

    Todd Archer ‏@toddarcher 14m
Cole Beasley show here in situation work. Three catches
Will have numbers later but Romo is sharp. TD pass on back shoulder to Anthony Armstrong

    Carlos A. Mendez ‏@calexmendez 2m
Terrance Williams runs nice slants. At least in camp. So far.
Per-snap penalty. Sean Lee not happy. Jawing with line judge. Think he suspects trickery lol
Romo got some sharp slants working. Making Anthony Armstrong look good. Armstrong having solid day.
