    It's really not that stupid. A high school team uses (or used) a Madden style philosophy in their games and was successful @ it. Definately wouldn't work in the NFL but with the right players, it can definately work in college.

    I like his plan except for the no punting part. I would only punt on 3rd and long and have the QB do it so it's a surprise.

    People love to poke fun @ madden but that's how I learned about Safety play and coverages back in Madden 94/95. Based off of how the safeties react, you can determine man, cover 1, cover 2, cover 3, cover 4, etc. Just always found that amusing because that does translate to one's deeper understanding of the game, esp a young man learning the game on his own :)
