Now, I don't wish this on him or anyone else but from what I've seen in the National Championship game and his play in the preseason, I think he's going to be a bust. The guy is slow as molasses. I just don't think his style and slowness will transfer to the NFL. What do you think? I guess its still too early to really say this so I will just predict he will be a bust. That's just my prediction...

They sure like him so far.
He's a bit banged up right now though.

I think he will be solid for a 2nd round pick. Nothing spectacular.

He'll be the next Rey Maualuga.

Everything I've read about him says San Diego has been very pleased with his play so far. I have not seen him play in a preseason game yet.

I thought he was injured and hasn't played in any preseason games.

What a ridiculous thread...and seemingly out of nowhere.

Every report about him has been positive.

This slow thing is a myth...he didnt run all that well at the combine, but dont forget, he didnt have months to prep for it like other guys because of the Bama game. He ran a 4.71 at his pro day, and plays fast because of his instincts.

    Ray Lewis - 4.68
    Lance Briggs -4.75
    Rey Mauluga - 4. 86
    Jon Beason - 4.72
    Sean Lee - 4.71
    Navorro Bowman - 4.7
    Alec Ogletree - 4.7
    Kevin Minter - 4.67/4.72

heck, Arian Foster ran a 4.7. The whole "Manti is too slow to play in the NFL" thing is absolutely baffling.

He had played in 1 preseason game and he pitched a complete shutout as in 0 tackles, 0 sacks--->a complete 0 stat effort, it was like he didn't play.

Ok, he was 0 for 10. In addition the plays that went to his side he did absolutely nothing besides getting blocked out of the film frame. I have no axe to grind with the kid but I don't think he is NFL material.

many (including myself) said before the draft that he should not be picked in the first 3 rounds of the draft based on talent

we'll see how it works out

guy does run like he is in mud. 40 aside. his first step just seems slow. It says that sean lee and teo ran the same 40, but there is now way teo is close in game speed.
