Heimerdinger, good enough to interview for HC job, but not good enough to stay on the staff.

I thought that was just something the Cowboys did, at least thats what CZ experts said.

Nice move by the Titans franchise, real class there.

I hope Bud Adams isn't the level of class we're holding anyone to.

I don't blame Munchak. He needs to build his staff with people he feels comfortable with. I thought Heimerdinger sucked anyway. I do agree that the Titans are not a classy organization. They and Fisher have proven that over the years.

I totally agree, my comments were more directed at certain people here who bashed Garrett for not retaining Sherman.

If they're going to ask you to make the meal, they shouldn't make you do it with old groceries.

wish him well he was going through chemo for a good part of the year and still showed up for work every day. doesnt matter in today's world though which is sad. as far as football in concerned he is a super conservative OC . had a stint with the jets as there OC and was a disaster even worse then schottenheimer there current OC.

Same thing we did with Sherman.

    Except Sherman doesn't have cancer.

it isn't a bad idea -- 'dinger was mentioned a long while back as a potential OC in Dallas -- can't remember when but it was likely in the Campo era

I bet Ray Sherman could end up back with the Titans.

Love the sarcasm dbair1967. So on point.

Obviously Munchak doesn't want him so it's 110% the right move for the Titans.

Yep -- bet that is what the Sherman to interview in Tenn rumors were about - Munch likely had the job lined up and was reaching out to people before the announcement.

If I worked for pft and I use the term "work" very loosely....I would write an article or blog post whatever they call it that muchach hates cancer patients.

I bet had jerry jones been involved they would do just that.:laugh1:

So now you're equating Jerry Jones with Bud Adams. :laugh2:

Actually he's equating new HC Munchak with new HC Garrett.

Both are young, unproven coaches that don't want any authority issues in their coaching heirachy. Understandable.

But don't use a man because of his race to satisfy a rule when you know that your heir apparent is going to let him go.

I'm not that naive. Apparently most here are, or they're so blinded by the red light that they can't see any wrong in what he does.

Because I'm still waiting on a handful of posters to say one negative thing about Garrett, just one. For the sake of objectivity.

I realize you can't let the Ray Sherman thing go, but Mike Heimerdinger is White. The rant really is off tangent in a thread about Heimerdinger.

I do not believe either team knew their HC would let these guys go, but they are supporting their Head Coaches on building their staffs.

I think Garrett has proven himself enough to merit the job.

He earned the job, but he didn't earn the opportunity to earn the job.

And the racial issue is why it upsets me, not because I 'hate Garrett'. The OP took his shots, let me take mine.

I didn't say anything about you hating Garrett. Thought didn't even enter my demented melon.
