    Despite labor uncertainty, facility holding 3 weeks open for training camp.

    Even if there is an NFL lockout, the Alamodome will continue making plans to host the Dallas Cowboys training camp this summer, a city official said.

    “We are going ahead as if the Cowboys were going to be here,” said Michael Sawaya, director of Convention, Sports and Entertainment Facilities.

    Cowboys training camp typically runs for two weeks spread over July and August. If an agreement can't be reached and the NFL locks out the players, the work stoppage would be the first in pro football since 1987 and would threaten to wipe out camp.

    But Sawaya said the dome plans on keeping a three-week block of days open for camp to be held at its usual time.
