    IRVING - The Dallas Cowboys pride themselves on their ability to stop the run.

    But if Minnesota's Adrian Peterson gains 100 yards against them this weekend, it will mark the third-straight game the Cowboys have allowed a running back to top the century mark.

    "Our run defense right now is inconsistent," Cowboys linebacker Keith Brooking said. "We play great for 95 percent of the snaps in a game and then it seems they get loose on a couple of runs. It was something that happened in the Houston game. We were solid, I think they averaged 2 yards a carry and then with two runs they gashed us. We have to be more consistent, especially with a runner like Adrian."
