A persistent fly buzzing around Terence Newman's head was a major distraction for the Dallas Cowboys cornerback during his first interview of training camp.

“This fly is kicking my (butt),” Newman said at one point.

Fortunately for the Cowboys, owner Jerry Jones' “eye watering” quest last week to land marquee free agent Nnamdi Asomugha didn't have the same effect on Newman.

Asomugha, a premier shutdown corner, wound up signing with Philadelphia. Had he picked Dallas, Newman could have been cut, a scenario he suggested hasn't caused him to lose any sleep.

I'm glad TNew is still part of the team, but Dallas does need to start looking for a relacement with him entering 34 yrs old.
