This is big...
I hate twitter.
Anything to add more AD time.
I'm OK with this.
Yep just get it right already
As long as they are not holding the games up to long I like it. You would think with todays communications tech. that this should be a no brainer
Gotta love the DVR (and the ability to avoid real-time spoilers). Whatever time, if any, this adds to the process is just going to get fast forwarded through in my house.
Now just get rid of the illegal contact penalty. Penalty was garbage from inception and is garbage today.
The start of the Arena league implentation...glad the recent cut block was taken out but that relates more the running game I suppose.
The dunking over the goal post celebration is also being outlawed for next season.
The NHL already does this. Back to league office to review disputed goals.
Specifically who at "NFL headquarters" are they referring to?
In college football, they have a booth replay guy that is much more empowered than they guys in the NFL.
I would like to see a booth replay guy have the final decision to override any on-field decisions; however, it's a political issue because the on-field officials don't like being overruled.
The cut block ideally helps prevent injury. There's no reason for the illegal contact and automatic first down other than to encourage passing/scoring.
Agreed, its a cheap penalty that allows the referees WAY too much discretion to dictate the momemntum of games.
We can thank Jimmy Graham for that. One of his "dunks" caused a delay last season because he hung on the crossbar like an idiot and left it crooked.
It's just me, but, I wish review plays and or challenges were abolished.
I hate replays. Get rid of them.
