This thread has a very misleading title. "Time to look for a replacement to groom for the future?" is not the same as "Romo done?"
scroll down and
It is an insanely misleading title.
Unless you're one of the cult of Romo people who thinks he'll play forever then yes, it's time to start looking for his successor.
You have to. That way you can have a Green Bay situation on your hands where whenever Romo is done, the new guy steps in seamlessly and the team doesn't skip a beat.
We should be building this team so that anyone who doesn't throw a lot of INTs could pretty much step in and win.
Replacing Romo is inevitable. But it doesn't need to happen this year. IfI were Jerry I would seriously look at QB options from the draft next year. He can't be caught with an empty cupboard like he was when Aikman left.
I think Dallas should look to find a eventual replacement within the next 2 years. I doubt the Cowboys will look to the early part of this draft to get a QB.
Gimme Kellen Moore in the 7th/UDFA
