Jimmy Johnson didn't make the cut.
Edit: Follow-up tweet
jimmy only coached for 5 years
Good luck to Charles, was a part of 5 SB champions...was a game changer and big game player.
Unfortunately Jimmy may never get in...IMO he should be in just for what he did in Dallas.....but not enough of a resume I guess.....I guess Gayle Sayers says hello.
JJ won't get in, just lacks the body of longevity. Sad, but if he would have coached for 15 years and won another championship, he'd be in.
Holding out hope of Haley getting it, but it's going to be an uphill battle.
Only 5 years in Dallas. He coached another 4 years in Miami.
The craziest thing is Jimmy has less wins and a lower winning percentage than Wade Phillips. Tell me that isn't screwy.
I love jimmy but he just doesn't deserve to be in the HOF
Wade didn't start out going 1-15 and then building a team that won 3 Super Bowls. Jimmy didn't have the same success in Miami either.
Haley needs to be in!
Jimmy should have his own wing!!!
With what we now known after the last 20 Jimmy free years what Jimmy did was on par with parting the Red friggen Sea!! Winning 2 and really 3 rings in spite of Jerry is by far the best coaching/ team building ever done in the history of sports!
sorry niether of these guys is a Hall of Famer. Yes Haley was on 5 Superbowl teams and was a very good player. But he only had 100 sacks thats just not a Hall of Fame Pass Rusher.
Whats really sad is eventually the WRONG JJ will get in
He is deserving. He was the owner of the team that won 3 SBs. Jimmy built the team, but Jerry did sign the checks. That is more than what most owners have accomplished. Throw in everything he has done for the league as a whole and Jerry is deserving of the HoF.
Jack Youngblood and John Randle are in and not Haley?
Youngblood was a 5 time all-pro and Randle was a 6 time all-pro. Randle has 37 more sacks than Haley and that was coming mostly from the tackle position. Both of those guys are deserving.
Might as well put any and all owners who won superbowls then
We need more of this around here. Some humor. TY.
Perhaps not for winning a single Superbowl, but winning 3 in 4 years is a feat very few owners have accomplished. And like I said, he has done quite a bit of work for the league as a whole. It isn't just the Superbowls. It is his contribution to the other facets of the league as well.
Jimmy's not sweating it.
Jerry promised him he'd be in the ROH! Well maybe. Jerry has clammed up about that promise.
Jerry Jones is well respected by other NFL owners. He has contributed a lot to the league and made all of their pockets fuller. There is more to him than his refusal to hire a GM.
Im sure he is........just because you have a huge bank roll doesn't mean you get respect. Just like the Giants owner respects him.
