Former Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Jay Ratliff has agreed to a one-year contract with the Chicago Bears, a league source told ESPN.

The Bears will play the Cowboys on Dec. 9, meaning Ratliff likely will attempt to sack former teammate Tony Romo.

Ratliff also visited the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins, according to league sources, and was contacted by the Cincinnati Bengals.

Jay Ratliff has not played in an NFL game since last November.

Dallas released Ratliff two weeks ago, citing a failed physical.

Ratliff, 32, has not played in nearly a year after suffering a groin injury that led him to eventual sports hernia surgery in December.

Somehow I knew we'd end up playing against him.

    Big shock.

From not being able to even think about working out for a team until 2014 to less than a month later he's signed and going to play with a team.

Rat and his agent are pathetic.
