There is a distinct rift in the Cowboy fans about which is better.

I have an inkling mostly younger guys who either didn't see Aikman or were too young to really understand his play causes them to latch onto Tony.

I understand Tony has the yards, stats ect.

But then I go back to what Jimmy has said in regard to that.

Aikman could have had Marino yards if the team was offensively run that way. But they had a plan which was pass to get ahead and run Emmitt to stay ahead.

So all the accolades about Romo also have a built in advantage since Romo throws so much.

    Just saying.

Going to log off now since i seemed to have scrambled your thinking on this.

It's a stupid comparison to begin with.

You will not find another QB like Aikman was. Tony is not nothing like him.

    ;)

Once again, I ask the question... Is it stupid to compare:

    Kobe to Magic
    Kobe to MJ
    Kobe to West

    ?

If we ever met somewhere, and we were about the same size, would you trade shoes with me?

Roger and Troy will always be on top when you talk about Cowboy QBs. That's just the way it is. Tony needs to win a SB to change it. Yea I know, it isn't fair. lol

This is a stupid thread, and you know it. Had Romo been on those 90's teams, we would have possibly won five championships in a row. Now you can close this thread.

I was also wondering about this my self. Tony playing on Aikman's team and Aikman playing on Tony's. I think Aikman would absolutely get destroyed.

only stat that matters, is SB rings...and Romo won't have any when his career is all said and done, just like Danny White

Exactly. They were all three great players on a great team. Nothing else needs to be said.

Seldom do you see people bragging on Aikman in threads these days.

I don't ever recall a thread where someone stated Aikman is better than Steve Young, or Eli, or maybe even Payton.

People just let Aikman's body of work stand alone without having to defend it.

Until there is a thread like this one where people start with the Romo behind Aikman's line business.

Ever wonder why Aikman could throw the slant and Irvin catch it time and again, even though the defense knew it was coming?

I love having Romo for the QB of this team. But I also have seem TOO MANY crossing routes and slants Romo has thrown that were behind the receiver, so high it risks the receivers health, or incomplete because Tony could not get it to the right spot.

I think Romo is the reason this team wins.

But he cannot carry Troy's jock when it came to running a timing offense.

Sorry, and all the squawking about Romo and trying to justify his place in time will not change that.

Romo is solid. He is greatness at times.

He could not run Troy's offense. Period.

I hope Jerry can get his shate in one sock and provide Tony with the help he needs to win a ring.

Which may be the sole advantage Troy had. A talent evaluator that could mix and match and come away with a great football team.

That guy is a talking head on Fox now.
