Do you think he'll be a canidate for Defensive Player of the Year this year?
I thought about this during the game... leading the NFL in takeaways, but probably doesn't have enough tackles to win it.
Yeah. If only he could cover. :laugh2:
He'd need a TD or two. Jason Taylor's running away with that, IMO.
Don't know about that, but I think his spot in the Pro Bowl is secure.
Something funny. So I'm over at some friends house for Thanksgiving. And one of the guys there who knows I'm a Cowboys fan started talking smack about the team. Anyway, he went on and on about how Roy sucks in coverage. Then Roy gets another interception. It was actually beautiful to see him try to talk while trying to get his foot out of his mouth.
Itll be Peppers by a long shot....
Roy's had a couple of below average games... The award is Jason Taylor's or Julius Peppers. I love Roy but he's not a true canidate in my eyes.
preach on!!!....preach on:bow:
He at least deserves to be in the discussion if you're naming 5-10 players worthy of the award. He's not a top-five candidate though.
But the turnovers he has made have been of utmost importance all season.
I don't think he'll win it myself, but I do think he's a canidate and his name is going to get tossed around I believe.
No he isn't but if he had made that interception against the skins week 9 he would be a leader. That one missed play would have given us the win if reversed and we would now be sitting ever prettier at 8-3.
but he is playing great ball.
he's DPOY in my eyes
I can be a leading Roy basher but he is really playing some ball right now.
I wondered if he saw something on the long Galloway reception, that I thought he might of screwed up on, that lead to the int later. From what I could see on TV it looked like the same play.
no way no way, not enough tackles this year unfortunatly....the front 7 been takin them all which is the way i like it
so I guess Zach THomas is your DPOY then?
Maybe he knew it was coming, but he couldnt have known that the ball would be underthrown. Galloway had him beat...
yeah i was watching ther colt game with a giant fan last week. he was saying how roy will get "exposed" by peyton. then he picked peyton in the endzone. i love it
no he didn't, since Galloway wasn't Roy's coverage responsibility, he was providing over the top help
