@**********: Sean Payton asked if he'd ever like to be coach of the Dallas Cowboys. His response: "I'd rather answer a bounty question."

He's my one hope as our future coach. In a perfect world, he should have been the guy who succeeded Parcells in Dallas. I know, I know, Payton left in 06', but if he had been promised the job after the Tuna, I suspect he would have stayed. What do we do instead? Garrett was brought in the very next year.

It wouldn't make any difference if Jerry could bring Bill Walsh back to life. As long as Jerry has both hands on the controls, there is no coach that can save this team!!

As for Sean Payton, that bountygate scandal is going to follow him wherever he goes...and ESPECIALLY if he comes to the Cowboys. I know he's a great coach and I might have felt differently before the bountygate thing broke in March. As it stands now, I'd rather Sean Payton stay away from the Cowboys.

That is actually a VERY telling answer. The easy answer is to say how much he loves being the coach in New Orleans and that he hopes to be there for a long time.

A joke? About bounties? Hmmm, that says something.

I’d rather promote Ryan as the head coach if Garrett was let go.

Sean Payton: My time with Cowboys was like "law school." As a coach I felt I still had more to learn. "I felt like I got that coming here."

Saints coach Sean Payton: "Right now my focus is on staying with New Orleans and really getting back on the sidelines."

And a good number of people were happy to see him go and wanted him gone before he did go.

    It's a fickle bunch.

One HC is not going to change this team until the front office changes it's ways.

Jerry was quoted after the game that he needed to look at the film.

And there's your answer for all that ails the Cowboys.

This, to me, reads more like butthurt over the bounty stuff than anything about Dallas.

If I were a high profile coach, I wouldn't touch this job. At least, not till Jerry is gone.

Gotta love when people take stuff entirely out of context.

No doubt about it! Jerry doesn't need to look at films; Jerry needs to look in the mirror!!
