A Desmond Bryant and Andy Levitre duo would make me a happy camper.
Reggie Bush is not going to help our running game. Murray can do just about anything bush can do (recieving out of the backfield) so I don't really see what Bush adds to this team
NT Terrance Knighton and FS Jairus Byrd would be solid pickups and can start right away.
Knigton called romo most overrated guy in nfl
Don't think anyone said that at all so why the wisecrack? In fact I left off most of the RBs since I don't think we need one at all. But if I had wishes then I'd love a third down back. Bush is just a good example of one. He's going to cost more than this team can spend on a RB.
I'll bet you most feel the same as that last sentence.
I would take a long look at Andre Smith. Was a disappointment at LT for Cinci, but he's found a nice home at RT. He's huge and an animal in the running game. Incredibly strong at the point of attack, so he's the complete opposite of Free. I know Free can't be cut until June so it may be hard to fit a FA under the cap.
If you think like most do, that we are a couple of players away, you don't have time to develop guys in the draft. FA is where is going to happen. If you get players that take 3 years to develop, then Romo will be late 30s at the end of his career.
First time I've heard anyone refer to Church as an "athlete". :laugh2:
Chris Ivory, the saints' RB, would be an excellent player to have on the roster. Should D. Murray miss some time, Ivory could fill in quite nicely. The defensive player I like on that list is Conner Barwin. He would add some quickness and athleticism to the defensive line.
Yeah I'd go with church and Matt Johnson hoping he is what staff says he is. Semsabaugh as backup
Byrd won't be available, so lets end that debate.
There is no way Matt Johnson would stop me from drafting a safety or signing a guy, cap permitting.
I think he would make an excellent Guard.
If we resign Spencer, I don't think we'll have the money for even one FA. I'm hoping we reject Spencer's exorbitant offer and draft OLB/DE 1st round to replace him.
There is talk in Buffalo land that Levitre might be the guy they franchise
I'll be happy taking either one they don't.
i think shonn greene from the jets could be a good compliment.
I'd be pretty happy if we got Levitre and Melton.
If Ratliff is indeed gone, they must sign a NT in FA. There's no way you can expect to have a successful 3-4 defense with the guys we currently have there. No Brent - possibly no Ratliff. And I'm not sure you can rely on a draft pick to hold down that starting position immediately.
I'd address the DL in free agency and then use the draft for the OL.
on ESPN the other day. He insisted they would NOT re-sign Jennings due to age and injury. He also said he thought it was a mistake. I realize he's too rich for our blood but I wouldn't be shocked to see him land in DC...lil' Dan never seems to get denied what he wants. The guy is GOOD but has been hurt....
BTW: I am MUCH more inclined to improve the trenches, just thought it was interesting the beat writer said they wouldn't re sign him. I was surprised.
I dont disagree....but from a talent perspective hes almost perfect.
